Uber Driver

Never one to pass on an interesting or innovative opportunity, I began driving for Uber on July 4, 2015. I spent the evening driving around people in Riverside and Corona, CA, many of whom were going or coming home from parties. It was nice knowing all my Uber clients got to their parties or home safely on one of the busiest holidays of the year.

It was a great experience and a lucrative one. I made $100 in two hours. During weekends and peak hours, there?s a surge in pricing that?s two and even three times the normal rate and that means more money for drivers. There?s been a lot of conflicting stories in the media about Uber, but at the core of the service is convenient and cashless transportation. Drivers only work when they want and as an independent contractor, they have the freedom and flexibility to set their own hours, the area in which they drive, and who they pick up. Uber drivers are paid weekly via direct deposit.

Anyone with a good driving record, a car in excellent condition, and insurance has everything needed to get started with Uber. The company also has agreements and contracts with partner firms that include taxi and limo companies, allowing Uber drivers to pick up extra income working as a taxi, chauffeur or limo driver.

Those experienced in driving for cities, schools, airports and sight-seeing companies also have opportunities, along with delivery and heavy trucks for long haul routes. Uber also has partners in the courier and messenger sector.

For heavy vehicles, commercial driver?s license (CDL) requirements must be met. Multiple vehicles are accepted, from economy cars to SUVs and luxury vehicles. Drivers can work major cities almost anywhere in the world. The platform is supported in over 20 countries ranging from Australia to the U.S.

Uber also has an UberMILITARY program that?s pledged to employ 50,000 military personnel, veterans and their spouses as Uber drivers. The company has also made a commitment to providing safe and reliable transportation for those with visual impairments and other disabilities, along with employing drivers who have disabilities themselves.

Drivers don?t collect or carry money, creating a safer environment. Rides are booked and payment completed entirely online via the Uber app. Customers use their smartphone to schedule a pick up and the type of car they want. Pricing is clear, stated at the time of booking, and can be made by multiple methods.

Working for Uber was very profitable and I like the idea of being able to set my own hours. People driving for Uber can work part-time, full-time, or only on weekends. Uber jobs are one of the fastest growing segments within the driving industry, allowing anyone to be their own boss. To try it for yourself, visit http://ubr.to/1R9UVCf or use code:?sivqw.
